National Catalogue of Hospitals

The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality invites the organizations, institutions and researchers to employ the information stored in the directory National Catalogue of Hospitals as a material for the development of their researches and studies.

The annual updating of the directory is made on the 31st December of every year, being the catalogue currently in force from the 1st of January of the following year. In the download of the microdata files the year of reference matches with the year of updating and not the year of validity. For instance, the directory National Catalogue 2007 (in force in 2007) contains the information updated the 31st of December of 2006 and consequently in the download it matches with the year 2006.

The Technical Documents gather the table structure as well as the matching values of the fields of each table, in code and full text form, for the correct creation of relations between tables. The different fields which make up the files are of variable length and for the purpose of separating the fields the semi-colon sign (;) is used.
